Jasbinder Garnermann - Résumé

Jasbinder Garnermann is one of Ireland’s leading Jungian psychologists, Chairwoman of the C.G. Jung Society of Ireland and Director of the C.G. Jung Institute. Jasbinder Garnermann graduated from Delhi University & received her M.Phil. from Trinity College, Dublin. She co-founded the C.G. Jung Society of Ireland in 1988 & the All-Ireland Centre for Jungian Studies in 1990 under the patronage of Sir Laurens van der Post. She has been a frequent guest on the Gerry Ryan Show & written extensively for the national press in Ireland. Jasbinder has given public lectures, & run workshops & training courses in Jungian psychology for over two decades. She is currently engaged in research on Vedic psychology; with a view to making its wisdom accessible for our times.

Jasbinder is Chairwoman of the C.G. Jung Centre - The All-Ireland Centre for Jungian Studies. The Centre holds lectures, workshops and training courses on all aspects of Jungian psychology as well as The Certificate Course in Jungian Studies. Jasbinder Garnermann was educated at Carmel Convent School in New Delhi, where she obtained her Indian School Leaving Certificate, with distinctions in Health Science, English Literature, Mathematics, History & Hindi. She has a B.A. Hons. Degree in English and Psychology from Delhi University. She subsequently obtained an M.Phil. from Trinity College, Dublin, & trained in London with the Jungian therapist Errol Weiner.

Jasbinder founded the C.G. Jung Society of Ireland in 1989 with Sir Laurens van der Post as the Patron. She built the society to a membership of 1200 members within one year. The aim of the society was to make Jung’s work known to the public. In order to achieve this, Jasbinder wrote regularly for the Sunday Independent and U magazine. As well as articles on various aspects of psychology & Irish issues, she wrote a column on Dream Interpretation for the Sunday Independent. She was Agony Aunt for U magazine for several years, & also wrote regular articles on psychological issues for U.
